THE SYMPOSIUM - Learn More
Turned and carved by Connor Kelly with a reverence and respect for ancient pottery, revived in a modern wood aesthetic.
THE SYMPOSIUM
Central to Ancient Greek culture was the Symposium, a social and intellectual gathering of shared wine, conversation, music, poetry, and art. Integral to the experience were the drinking vessels, each representative of a specific role to the pacing and rhythm of the evening.
This collection of turned and carved vessels maintains historical roots to traditional forms while reimagining elements in a contemporary context. All are created from locally salvaged wood, aged with a combination of fire and red wine, and finished with varnish oil.

FINDING TIME
On the surface, Finding Time is exactly what it sounds like: searching for moments to spend time in creative meditation, crafting objects that better connect me with myself and my world. Dig deeper and you’ll discover the historical influence intertwined into each vessel. Within this collection you will find echos of timeless forms and finishes, interpreted into my own creative language, that honor tradition and reimagine historical pottery and art as modern wooden forms.
